"Esteva" (rock rose) it's a very common bush in Portugal and in all mediteranean region. It does not need many water and grows wild in the countryside. It´s named "Cistus ladanifer" from "Cistaceae" family. It can grow from 1 to 2,5 meters. It's resin is used as fixative in the perfumary industry, to reduce the odor evaporation and to preserve the intensity of the perfume.
